Pour the banana/applesauce puree over the oatmeal and spices and mix well.
Spread a thin layer of the mixture on dehydrator trays fitted with parchment paper or Teflex sheets and dehydrate at the medium setting for about 4-8 hours or until they reach your desired crunchiness. Break the dried mix into bite size pieces if needed. Store in a glass or plastic container in the refrigerator to help rawnola maintain crunch and texture.
Notes
If you want the taste of chocolate for your rawnola, add a 1 tbsp of cocoa powder or cacao powder to the mix before dehydrating. As an option to this, you can also sprinkle the powder over the dried rawnola. If you would like to add more texture - add a tablespoon or two of of pumpkin seeds to the mix. Raw Granola Recipe No DehydratorIf you do not have a dehydrator, you can still make rawnola in an oven. You just need to watch it so it doesn't burn. Place the wet mixture on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Place in a 200 - 250 degree oven and set the timer for 30 minutes. Use a spatula to turn the mix and then bake for another 20 minutes. Turn the mix and repeat until done to desired crispiness.
